Birgwsree Girls Hostel of Bengtol College celebrated its Freshers’ Day 2023 on 09.09.2023 at BC Owary Auditorium Hall of the College. The programme was hosted by Literary & Common Room Secretary Ms. Priyanka Basumatary and Bihwma Basumatary and it started off with a welcome dance at around 5:30 PM. The hostel students’ body and the Superintendent welcomed the Freshers and wished them a pleasant stay in the Hostel. The programme comprised of songs, dances from the Hostel Girls which was followed by introduction and Talent Show from the Freshers. The Invited Chief Guest Mrs. Elizabeth Basumatary, Asst. Professor, Dept. of English, Bengtol College, Assam encouraged the students with her motivational speech to make the best use of their stay in the Hostel and informed the provisions of various student friendly services of the Hostel and the College as a whole to the Freshers. The programme ended with a vote of thanks from the Prefect of Birgwsree Girls Hostel 2023, Nisha Swargiary, followed by a mindful dinner in the Hostel Compound.
